Dr. Harsh Garekar is an experienced clinician with a demonstrated history of working in both public and private hospital & health care industry. He is a graduate of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai and completed his MD residency training in Psychiatry from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. He has also worked as a senior resident in psychiatry at PGIMER, Chandigarh. During this period he has gained expertise in the management of mood disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, OCD and drug addiction. Dr. Garekar has been actively involved in clinical research and is a published author of original research articles, review papers and case reports on the topics of treatment resistant schizophrenia and the use of electro-convulsive therapy.

He has won the National medical quiz; IGNITE conducted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2015 and his research has been shortlisted for the Young researcher award at the International conference of Schizophrenia (IConS- SCARF) in 2015. Dr Garekar has particular in interests in the areas of psychopharmacology for bipolar disorder and psychosis, psychotherapeutic techniques like cognitive behavioural therapy and in understanding the lived experiences (phenomenology) of those with substance abuse problems.
